## Opening FITS Files

### Basic File Opening

# Open file (returns HDUList - list of HDUs)
hdul = fits.open('filename.fits')

# Always close when done
hdul.close()

# Better: use context manager (automatically closes)
with fits.open('filename.fits') as hdul:
    hdul.info()  # Display file structure
