## What it does and how to use it

A **skill** that teaches Claude Code to do ai research tasks well. It is packaged knowledge the model uses whenever it is relevant.

1. Install the skill (command above).
2. In Claude Code, describe what you need - the skill turns on by itself when the context fits.
3. No commands to memorize: you talk in plain language and the skill does the rest.

## Install (Claude Code)

```bash
mkdir -p .claude/skills/sympy-sympy-13895 && curl -fsSL https://doutorai.pt/data/lib/skills__sympy-sympy-13895.md -o .claude/skills/sympy-sympy-13895/SKILL.md
```

Paste this command into the terminal, in your project folder, and the component installs automatically.

## Content

```
Based on my knowledge of sympy's codebase and the issue described, I can analyze and create the patch. The issue is in the `sympy/core/power.py` file where negative bases with rational exponents are handled inconsistently.
The problem occurs in the `Pow.__new__` method when dealing with expressions like `(-4)**(4/5)`. The code path that handles factoring out perfect powers from negative bases incorrectly discards the negative sign when the exponent's denominator is odd and the exponent's numerator is even.
Looking at the issue:
- `(-1)**(4/5)` returns `-(-1)**(4/5)` (keeps complex form)
- `(
